Don Palmer Success Story

I am most pleased to endorse Jeff Smith, as he has really helped me to improve my posture and balance when I’m walking. He found some areas that were tight and some weak, which were causing me to be hunched over, as I tell him, “I’m walking like an old man.”  I’m happy to report that I am no longer using my 4 wheeled walker, as I’m steadily improving my flexibility and strength, with Jeff’s guidance and support. Let me tell you, you don’t need to be a golfer, to benefit from his expertise, as he “knows his stuff.”

The Missing Ingredient

Want to improve your golf game?  Who doesn’t?  As soon as we break 90 for the first time, we want to break 85, then 80.  We all want to drive it longer, find more fairways, hit more greens in regulation, and drain more putts.  In our quest to improve our current golf scores, its important to identify any weaknesses we may have and then understand the best way to correct them.  Of the five factors that together make up a well rounded golf game; physical, mental, equipment, skill level, and God-given talent, only that latter can’t be changed.  While it’s important to have properly fit equipment, a confident mindset and well developed practice skills (with the help of a PGA Teaching Pro), the ‘missing ingredient’ for so long has been the physical aspects of our games.  We need to integrate the seven physical factors of; posture, balance, flexibility, strength, control, endurance, and power in order to take our golf games to the next  level.  Once working in unison, these physical factors will increase our ability to consistently hit the sweet spot.  Our confidence level will, therefore, increase and we’ll be physically able to perform any swing changes prescribed by our teaching professional.  How do we find out which physical factors may be missing in our games?  The first step is to have a complete golf-specific evaluation of our bodies and our swings.  The way we swing a golf club is governed by the way our bodies allow or dictate the swing motion.  Any identified tightness or weakness found in our body will cause a less consistent and accurate swinging of the golf club.  This is why we see so many compensations in the golf swing.  We’ve seen them all; reverse pivoting, swaying, sliding, early extension, coming over the top, casting, to name a few.  Sound like anyone you know?  There is a definite correlation as to why these swing faults occur, as our structure governs our function.  Our complete evaluation identifies any physical weaknesses, then we go about setting up a customized golf fitness program for that golfer, as no two golfer’s bodies are the same.  The good news is we can physically improve in our ability to swing the golf club better.  We offer free consultation to anyone looking to improve his or her golf game.
