Why does my back ache so much after my round of Golf

Great question, and the answer can certainly be perplexing, as it is the most common golf-related injury. Over a third of male golfers, and quarter of female golfers have had this ailment at some time or another. It’s also a main cause in why golfer’s take up fishing! Don’t give up too fast, as there is help out there! There is a definite correlation between back pain and a lack of mobility and/or stability within the body. If you lack flexibility and/or golf specific strength, there will be torsional (twisting) forces exerted on the back muscles, which place too much pressure on the spine. If you are not swinging the golf club efficiently, injury can result from improper over use, as golf is widely accepted as a one sided sport! By first identifying any areas within the body that need to improve, Jeff will then design a customized program, and will assist you every step of the way, you’ll soon be playing your best and safest golf possible!!!

This sounds like what has been missing in my golf game, how do I get started?

Just fill out the online golfer’s questionnaire, submit your contact info, and Jeff will then provide you with a free consultation, to see if this is the right program for you. Next, we will schedule your golf evaluation.  Titleist Performance Institute has an awesome on-line 16 step screening process that will give you a final “golfability” score, which then predicts your current golf swing characteristics. Your structure governs your function!!! Jeff also combines that with taking baseline measurements, captures your golf swing on the Swing Profile app, designs your program (based on your initial screen results) and meets with you for program delivery, typically starting 2-3 times a week, then with less frequency, as initial barriers are addressed, and you get accustomed to your program. Typical results are usually realized within 90 days. Typical Results (after 90 days/20 sessions) Decrease in handicap by 2 strokes! Increase in drive distance by 20 yards! Increased accuracy (FIR 25%, GIR 15%) Increased FUN, as your new, optimal golf swing doesn’t hurt anymore!
